Ourense, September 12, 2023.- The Subdelegate of the Government, Emilio González, highlights the great efficiency of the workers and the reduction of the disputes of the subdelegation of the Government of Ourense in the years 2021 and 2022 thanks to the installation of measures such as pre-appointment and telephone attention, among others. The computer improvement, the greater number of services and the amount of work are one of the reasons why this subdelegation receives year after year the Seal of Excellence.
Emilio González wanted to highlight that “we have made progress in the computer field towards a more digital administration with the full incorporation of teleworking for officials, and the administration has been more actively brought closer to the citizen, being the subdelegation of the State with the highest number of attention and reception within the program “The Administration near you”.
In addition, he took the opportunity to highlight the commitment of the Government’s subdelegation to the “education and educational training of young people” being pioneers in the incorporation of the follow-up of the talks within the framework of the Master Plan in the educational centers of the province, as a point of the agenda of the Local Security Boards allowing to establish greater coordination and information also to the Anpas.
Immigration office
Within the subdelegation, he highlighted the work of the departments of Immigration, Registration or Gender Violence. With the implementation of the new regulation of foreigners, which has meant the expansion in staff of the OEX and which improves the decentralized resources of the Territorial Administration. In addition, the unit has processed more than 2,000 work and residency files, as well as handled more than 10,000 inquiries through the establishment of e-mail inquiries.
Citizen Services Office
In the Registry, the attention to the citizen in the work office has been doubled, both face-to-face, telephonically and in writing. And more than 50,000 procedures and more than 4,000 digital certificates have been carried out. All this in order to bring the administration closer to the citizen and improve and accelerate the bureaucratic procedures.
Viogen
The Department of Gender Violence highlighted the large number of coordination tables, 16, and the numerous activities carried out to continue fighting male violence. 6 new concellos have signed the Viogen Convention and have carried out the corresponding follow-ups of all the victims as well as the training of professionals in the field.
The Deputy Delegate also praised the management of the intense fire campaign by the Civil Protection unit, the wave of fires in Valdeorras last summer. This unit has also been responsible for the public attention and information of citizens in the projects exposed by the Ministry, such as the "suppression of steps at level" or the "Bridge Rehabilitation Plan".
Finally, the subdelegate highlighted the great work of management of territorial administration and electoral processes this year, for which “I appreciate the work of coordination of all staff.”
