The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco and the manager of Enterprise Land of the Atlantic (SEA), Beatriz Sestayo, have analyzed today the results of the strategy developed by the state society, mostly dependent on the Government, to generate employment and economic development in Galicia, after four years in which its industrial estates have added more than 70 companies.
Enterprise Land of the Atlantic, a company dependent on 83.44% of the Ministry of Transport through SEPES, has promoted the creation of about 2,000 jobs since 2019 - according to data provided by the companies themselves - through the 4 million industrial land managed in Galicia.
Since 2019, SEA has attracted investment, in land alone, of 20 million euros and thus contributing to the full occupation of business areas such as A Pobra do Caramiñal, Monforte de Lemos, Rianxo or Rábade, strengthening the growth of the regions in which the new companies are located.
During the meeting, have agreed to value the commitment of the central government to employment and industry in Galicia, as reflected in measures such as the one promoted from SEA which, for the first time in ten years, has initiated or approved the development of new industrial land (Cuntis, Monforte, A Laracha) to respond to the existing business demand and contribute to the economic development of these regions.
New Business Parks
Beatriz Sestayo has forwarded to the Government delegate the forecasts of SEA for the coming months, among which is included the implementation of the Monitoring Commission of the future polygon of Cuntis (Pontevedra), which will have 325,635 square meters of surface and which will be executed jointly with Consorcio Zona Franca de Vigo.
In the same strategy, which hinges on the importance of proactive, close and socially present administrations, SEA has approved the expansion of the business areas of A Laracha (A Coruña) and Monforte de Lemos (Lugo).
In both cases, the efforts made over the last four years have attracted important companies, which have centralized their activity in these regions.
In addition, from SEA will be launched the project “Future SEA Parks”, which includes planning and implementation measures to improve the existing parks, adapting them to the characteristics of the new actions: humanization, connectivity, technology and social responsibility.
The objective is to create sustainable business parks, which contribute to the prosperity of our environments and Galicia, with green areas, bike lanes, sustainable energies, spaces for and by conciliation and new technologies.
