Since the month of November “The Administration near you” began its journey in the city of Valdoviño, it has already traveled 44 of the 67 municipalities of Coruña to which it plans to arrive. In each of these visits, the digital certificate “in situ” of the people who come is processed. In total, during these months, 603 digital certificates have already been processed and attended to 727 people.
Every week, technical staff from the Government’s sub-delegation travel to municipalities in the province, with fewer than 8,000 inhabitants, where they inform, guide and solve all citizens’ doubts about the digital services they can access.
During this week “The Administration near you” will visit the municipalities of Lousame on February 22, A Baña, on February 23 and Pontedeume on February 24.
The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, encourages all the neighbors and neighbors of the municipalities to which this program arrives to attend since it is “a unique opportunity to process the digital certificate, a key tool to be able to carry out countless administrative procedures without having to travel outside the home with the consequent saving of time and money that this entails”
The subdelegate shows her satisfaction for the receptivity of the citizens during these three months in which the program has traveled part of the territory of the province.
María Rivas stresses the importance of providing digital tools to the citizens of the smaller municipalities so that they can carry out basic procedures from their homes such as benefits, public fee payments, driving licences or work life certificates among others.
The subdelegate stresses that this initiative “is part of the commitment of the Government of Pedro Sánchez to advance territorial cohesion, combat the digital divide and guarantee access to public services to the rural population”.
Under the premise of “inform, train and help”, “The Administration near you” allows to bring the services offered by the General Administration of the State closer to the neighbors of the whole territory, regardless of where they live
María Rivas recalls that, although today “new technologies allow citizens to access a multitude of online procedures and electronic procedures, this access to digital administration requires adequate means and knowledge in the use of technological tools, something that some of the older population finds more difficult”. Hence, programs such as “The Administration near you” help to solve some of these difficulties.
“The Administration near you” is a program put into operation by the Ministry of Territorial Policy with the collaboration of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), which brings administrative procedures to 67 municipalities in Cordoba, 72% of the municipalities in the province.
