The government delegate, José Miñones, highlights the investment effort and the commitment to infrastructure in Galicia of the Government of Pedro Sánchez, which materializes in the progress of the construction of the intermodals of A Coruña and Ourense. The delegate said that the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, through the Railway Infrastructure Manager (ADIF), takes another step in the construction of the intermodal station of A Coruña -San Cristobal with the award of the contract of technical consultancy and technical assistance for the control of the works. To this action is added the beginning of the process for the expropriation of land for the intermodal Ourense.
“With the Government of Pedro Sánchez Galicia again occupies the place it deserves for investments, for unblocking historical demands and for leadership,” said José Miñones. Specifically, the consultancy and technical assistance work for the intermodal of A Coruña has been awarded to the UTE Applus-GPO for a total amount of 2,904,089.20 euros as the most economically advantageous offer. This contract is funded by the Spanish Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan
This action comes in addition to the contract for the construction of the intermodal station, awarded last October for a total amount of 72.5 million euros and which includes, among others, the removal of tracks from the interior of the historic marquee to enable a large passenger lobby and a commercial area, the modification of the configuration of tracks and platforms, the conditioning of the access plaza or the construction of a pedestrian walkway on the new boarding room that will link the avenue of the Sardiñeira and the avenue of the Railway.
Expropriations in Ourense
In the case of the intermodal station of Ourense, Adif has begun the process for the forced expropriation of the land necessary for the construction of the new infrastructure, which will premit the coverage of the current beach of roads.
The measure affects three farms owned by the Concello de Ourense located in the vicinity of the station and that add an area to expropriate of 1,681 square meters.
The Concello de Ourense has 15 working days from the publication of the document in the BOE, on February 2, to formulate the allegations it considers appropriate.
