The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, met today with the mayor of Guitiriz, Marisol Morandeira, with whom she promised to speed up the procedures to address the main exposed demands of this municipality of the Terra Chá.
At the meeting, held in the Subdelegation of the Government, Isabel Rodríguez and Marisol Morandeira, also analyzed the possibilities of collaboration between the two administrations and discussed issues related to security.
The subdelegate addressed with the councilor the project of humanization of the urban crossing of the N-VI, as it passed through the municipality, to improve road safety. In this way, they agreed to the construction of several safe zebra crossings and the conditioning of the urban section of this area, with the provision of sidewalks, especially in the section between the children's park and the end of the route of the state road A Coruña.
Isabel Rodríguez reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to these actions and told the mayor that the Roads Unit of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda is already working to carry out the project and make the improvements requested at the meeting, “providing the neighbors of Guitiriz a more comfortable and safe road”.
In addition, the subdelegate and the mayor agreed to plan the next call for the Local Xunta of Citizen Security of the city council.
