The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food extends the extraordinary aid to rainfed farmers in Castilla y León by 876,364 euros

• The new aid will benefit a total of 372 in Castilla y León and comes in addition to the €61.9 million that the Government authorized on 21 March and which benefited 35,000 farmers • At the national level, the Ministry raises to €258.9 million the payment of aid to producers of dry farmland, rice and industrial tomato • A total of almost 134,000 farmers in Spain benefit from this aid line, financed from the General State Budgets, to compensate for the difficulties due to drought and war in Ukraine • The first five year of the new May

May 06, 2024. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has published a new resolution granting aid to 2,458 holders of agricultural holdings of rain-fed farmland, rice and tomato industry, for a total amount of 7 million euros, to compensate for the difficulties due to drought and war in Ukraine. The aid will be paid into farmers’ bank accounts during the first half of May.

With this new payment, the amount of this State aid paid by the Government already amounts to 258.9 million euros, from which 133,946 farmers have benefited, which represents 96% of the total budget of this line.

This aid was approved by the Government through Royal Decree-Law 4/2023, of 11 May, which adopted urgent measures in agricultural and water matters in response to the drought and the aggravation of the conditions of the primary sector resulting from the war in Ukraine and the weather conditions.

The list of holders of agricultural holdings who will receive this aid, together with the number of eligible hectares and the amount of aid to be received, can be found on the bulletin board of the EAGGF e-office.

The holders who appear in this concession resolution are those who were already included in the one published on March 20, but who were denied the pagop because they were not aware of their tax obligations and with Social Security, and who were granted a period of one month to regularize their situation.

The published resolution also includes those holders who have been denied payment because they have been detected that they are not aware of their tax obligations or with Social Security.

This resolution does not include the headlines that presented some type of allegation that, due to its complexity, have been sent to the corresponding autonomous communities for analysis and study. They will then be resolved and, if necessary, the payment of the aid.
