More than 7,000 kilometers traveled throughout the province to bring the State Administration closer to the smaller municipalities
Balance of the program ‘The Administration near you 2023’
December 27, 2023.– The subdelegate of the Government of Spain in Ávila, Fernando Galeano, today took stock of the program ‘The Administration near you’, launched by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory to bring to the smallest peoples the tasks of information and registration that are carried out in the General Administration of the State. Among other things, the program provides special support to residents of these municipalities in obtaining the electronic certificate.
“Throughout this year, the staff of the Subdelegation has made more than 7,000 kilometers throughout the province to bring all citizens, wherever they live, this important information and advice service that facilitates access to the General Administration of the State,” said Galeano, who points out that, with this program, the General Administration of the State is brought closer to the rural environment.
For the development of the agreement signed between the Ministry of Territorial Policy and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, the Subdelegation has moved its staff in two periods, first during the months of February to July and then from October to December.
In total, 65 municipalities throughout the province have been visited, with the criterion of paying special attention to small municipalities.
The average age of the population of these localities is 60 years and a large percentage exceeds 65. That is, it is a population that has more complications to travel and that also finds more difficulties in the use of digital tools of administrations.
The officials of the General Administration of the State, in addition to reporting on the efforts being made in the Subdelegation, have registered a total of 220 people from all over the province in the personal identity system Cl@ve and have delivered 90 digital certificates, previously requested to the National Currency and Stamp Factory.
In their travels, the staff of the Government Subdelegation has also reported on all the procedures that can be carried out in the digital applications of the AGE, such as consulting the retirement data, the municipal register or obtaining prior appointments.
