December 7, 2023.- The Interterritorial Council of the National Health System, in an extraordinary and telematic meeting that took place this Thursday, has agreed the distribution of a total of 2.5 million euros between the autonomous communities and cities destined to obtain plasma through plasmapheresis within the framework of the National Strategy for Plasma Self-Sufficiency.
In addition, it has been agreed that next Monday, December 11, at 09:00, the CISNS will meet again, in an extraordinary way, at the request of several CC. AA that have requested more time to analyze the distribution of 42.8 million euros, agreed at the CISNS plenary on June 23, for different programs of rational use of the drug, cancer surveillance and bone marrow donation.
The Minister of Health, Mónica García, has announced two new appointments before the end of the year.
- On December 18, a plenary session of the Human Resources Commission of the Interterritorial Council will be held to analyze the lack of professionals that affect primary care.
- On 21 December Ordinary face-to-face plenary session of the Interterritorial Council in Asturias.
The minister informed the councilors that at the meeting on December 21: “We will end other outstanding transfers of more than 200 million euros in the field of rare diseases, genomics and digitalization.” He has also opted to discuss, on that date, one of the issues that most concerns citizens “the time of waiting lists to see a specialist, or for surgery or a diagnostic test.” Finally, the minister assured “the Ministry will not cease in its commitment to dialogue and firm will to agree to strengthen our national health system and improve people’s lives.”
