The Subdelegation of the Government in Santa Cruz de Tenerife organizes a tour of the social theater play “Basta de flores” by six municipalities of the island of Tenerife, within the framework of the activities organized on the occasion of the 25N, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
This production by the Canarian company Teatrapa, awarded by the Subdelegation of the Government for its contribution to raising awareness of gender violence, combines art and social commitment for Promote a collective reflection on equality and the eradication of violence against women.
“Enough flowers” tells the story of Estela, a woman victim of male violence who, after suffering the isolation and control of her partner, begins a process of self-discovery to regain her freedom and dignity. With a duration of approximately one hour, each function will conclude with a colloquium open to the public to reflect on the issues addressed on stage.
The subdelegate of the Gobienro in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Javier Plata, will be in charge of opening the performances, which will begin tomorrow Tuesday, November 18 in Adeje and will end on December 2 in Candelaria. They will be aimed at different audiences and will adapt to different scenarios, in collaboration with municipalities, associations and educational centers of the island.

The initiative is developed within the framework of the State Pact against Gender Violence, as part of awareness-raising and training actions aimed at increasing social awareness and promoting cultural changes that promote equality and reject any form of violence.
The deputy delegate of the Government in Santa Cruz de Tenerife appreciates the collaboration of the participating municipalities, all of which adhere to the Viogén System, for their involvement in the promotion of a society free of violence towards women.
