The Special Plan for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment will have a budget of 1,083,334.87 euros in 2023, a 5% increase compared to the previous edition, which will allow an increase in the number of recruitments. This Tuesday, the Regional Follow-up Commission met in the Government Delegation in Aragón with the presence of delegate Rosa Serrano, the provincial sub-delegates, and with representation from the SEPE, INAEM, the Aragonese Federation of Municipalities, Regions and Provinces, the provincial deputies and the economic and social agents.
The Special Employment Plan for Aragon allocates credits, from the annual budgets of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE), to finance the salary costs, including the business contribution, of unemployed workers, preferably agricultural contingents, hired by municipalities and counties to carry out works and services of general and social interest. As for the typology of the projects, they are reforestation, fire prevention, improvement or creation of green areas and sanitation of waterways and banks, among others.
The meeting took stock of the Special Employment Plan for the year 2022 in Aragon. Since the end of June, 65 projects have been carried out or are being finalized, which have allowed the recruitment of 142 people (123 men and 19 women) for an average period of 4´85 months. The project has reached 59 municipalities, six counties and a community, maintaining the duration of employment that was established in the call for 2020, when it increased by one month.
The money allocated in 2022 to this program has been 1,031,747.48 euros, of which 338,722.70 correspond to the province of Huesca; 184,889.15 to that of Teruel and 508,135.63 to Zaragoza. There are 75 workers in the province of Zaragoza, 41 in the province of Huesca and 26 in Teruel. Regarding projects, in the province of Zaragoza 28 are being developed, another 23 in the province of Huesca, and 15 in the province of Teruel.
The meetings of the provincial follow-up commissions will now be held, the call for applications will then be published in the provincial bulletins, the applications will be studied and a list of them will be made, and the dossiers will then be approved and communicated. The last step will be to communicate the resolutions to municipalities and counties so that they can start hiring in the month of October or November.
