The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, highlighted that, in the 14 calls that his department has made from 2020 to today, “an average of 350 days has passed between the declaration of the Council of Ministers of an Area Seriously Affected by Civil Protection Emergency and the resolution of granting aid. There have even been declarations where aid has been granted in just 271 days.”
In contrast, what happened between 2016-2018, with the PP in the government, he added, “when the average was 659 days, with statements where the aid took 787 days. We have cut the deadlines in half.”
