The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, visited the municipality of Gáldar, where he followed up with his mayor, Teodoro Sosa, the projects financed with European funds, and where he stressed that “thanks to the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) it has been possible to implement the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (Edusi) in this municipality, with important projects, with more than 5 million euros.
It has also announced that the deadline for local entities to request aid for modernization and updating of the municipal register, with a budget of 64 million euros, is extended by one month, until April 1.
The objective is the updating of the municipal register in real time and that local administrations have access to the real data of their population, very important for the provision of municipal public services and for financing more in line with the real population, within a project financed by the Transformation and Resilience Recovery Plan (PRTR), managed by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory in collaboration with the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
