The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, held a first meeting today with the president of the Foral Community of Navarre, María Chivite, who begins the meetings he will hold with other presidents and regional presidents.
At the meeting, Ángel Víctor Torres and María Chivite have studied the development of the works for the new transfers of competences to Navarre in which several ministries will intervene, among them, the management of competences of Scholarships and Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+I) and other competences that will be addressed in a process of dialogue between both administrations, such as the ownership of the Navarre section of the Vasco-Aragonesa AP-68 motorway.
Torres said that “already the ministries of Education, Vocational Training and Sports; Science and Innovation; and Transport and Sustainable Mobility have the initial documentation for the progress of these transfers to the Foral Community of Navarre” and insisted that this process “will be carried out following the regulated steps, in formal times, but without pause”.
