The Minister of Territorial Policy and Spokeswoman of the Government, Isabel Rodríguez, visited today the City Council of Rivas-Vaciamadrid, municipality of the southeast of the Community of Madrid that has a population of 96,690 inhabitants, where she has met with the mayor, Aída Castillejo, the deputy mayor, Mónica Carazo, and members of the municipal corporation.
The grants received for the modernization of municipal public services reach 338,000 euros, to turn Rivas-Vaciamadrid into a leading municipality in terms of the digitalization of its local administration among the populations of the Community of Madrid.
Isabel Rodríguez has learned about the municipal digitization projects and has seen a demonstration of their development, such as the ‘Manage’ file processing system and the future ‘chatbot’ system that they are implementing for their next implementation.
He has also known the application of digitalization in home automation systems for the optimization of municipal resources, control systems for the direct purchase of energy in the free market without intermediaries, work with schools in energy efficiency and with low emission areas.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Territorial Policy agreed last year to allocate 1.9 million euros of subsidy to Rivas-Vaciamacdrid to repair up to 50% of the damage caused to municipal infrastructures by the “Filomena” storm.
