Since the beginning of the 14th Legislature, the Ministry of Territorial Policy has reached a total of 150 final total agreements (139 final total agreements and 11 final partial agreements) on competition policy differences with the autonomous communities. In 2022 alone, the agreements signed were 54.
The agreements have been reached by opening a negotiation process promoted by the Ministry of Territorial Policy in the bilateral cooperation commissions, through article 33.2 of the Organic Law of the Constitutional Court, a legally authorized instrument for collaboration with the autonomous communities.
It is a positive balance of the policy of dialogue and permanent cooperation promoted by the Minister of Territorial Policy and Government Spokeswoman, Isabel Rodríguez, with the autonomous communities, which has considerably reduced the discrepancies, achieving agreements to resolve the differences and thus avoiding 150 appeals before the Constitutional Court.
In the current Legislature, only 18 appeals have been filed, a lower figure, if we consider that they represent only 12% of the 150 agreements reached to resolve competitive differences and avoid resources, reducing competitive disputes by 67% compared to that existing with the previous Government.
