The Minister of Territorial Policy and spokeswoman for the Government, Isabel Rodríguez, stressed that the spokespersons of the Government “are to comply with the rights and freedoms of citizens enshrined in the Constitution, to guarantee freedom of expression and for citizens to receive truthful information.”
Defence of the freedom of expression of Isabel Rodríguez during the round table on “The Challenges of the Government Spokesperson in the Post-Truth Era”, in which he participated together with those who were spokespersons with governments of the PSOE and the PP, Rosa Conde and Pío Cabanillas, respectively, and Fernando Ónega, who was press director with Adolfo Suárez as president of the Government. The director of the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies, Yolanda Gómez, has opened the event, led by the journalist May Mariño, developed at the Camilo José Cela University.
