The Minister of Territorial Policy and spokeswoman for the Government, Isabel Rodríguez, has valued the advances of recent years in equality and conciliation, rights that should matter to all of us: “When I was in the opposition, I made offers to the government to work in this cause, because this policy is of majorities, you don’t have to fit it into a party. There was a 20% pay gap, I believed in the need to increase women’s salaries to assume our responsibility, I talked about the importance of paternity leave… since 2017 we have made progress in those rights, with better salaries, equal leave for men and women or more rights and more dignity of domestic workers.”
Isabel Rodríguez, who participated in the opening ceremony of the III Conference Yo No Renuncio “Sí es cosa de hombres”, organized by the Yo No Renuncio Association of the Malasmadre Club, maintaining a dialogue with its founder, Laura Baena, added that the pandemic has made us reflect and has brought us teleworking, “although many women have continued to see how they telework, but those who continued with the lentils and with the children, were them,” he stressed.
