Juan Hernández is the protagonist of a new video launched today by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Function through its social media profiles. It is the sixth video of the dissemination campaign with which it aims to attract talent for the General Administration of the State (AGE).
Civil Administrator of the State, currently he is assigned to the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security of the Embassy of Spain in Argentina. From Buenos Aires, Juan Hernández highlights the opportunities offered by public employment to develop professional careers abroad. He began as an official in the Ministry of the Interior and obtained his current position by competitive examination. According to him, public employment has allowed him to get to know other cultures and to approach a subject “of great interest”.
The campaign is part of the Talent Acquisition Plan initiated in 2019 by the Ministry. The aim is to explain to young people the possibilities and opportunities offered by public employment and career development.
The Ministry aims to encourage those people who are aware of the value of public services and their contribution to the citizens to work in the AGE.
Started on April 20th, the campaign shows the testimonies of different employees and public employees who exemplify through their experience the job possibilities offered by the Administration, both in Spain and in official representations abroad.
Younger templates
One of the objectives is to rejuvenate the staff of the staff working in the AGE. At the moment, the average age of public workers is 52 years. Only 12% are under 40 years old and in just over 10 years half of the workforce will be old enough to retire.
Since 2019, the Ministry organizes information days in universities, professional colleges and other education centers. Through them, the image of the AGE as an employer is modernized. In addition, they value the contribution of employees and employees to society, raising awareness about the value of public services and their contribution to citizenship.
On April 15, the Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Service, Miquel Iceta, presided over the day that was held at the Carlos III University of Madrid, which for the first time was broadcast on the Ministry’s newly launched Twitch channel. This is a new way to bring the messages closer to the youngest ones.
