The Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Service, Miquel Iceta, met this morning with the Association of Women in the Public Sector. During the meeting they agreed to sign an agreement to encourage the Association to participate in the processing of normative projects and in the design of public policies and training plans.
In this way, the Association of Women for the Public Sector will have a role as a qualified interlocutor and will be able to present contributions. Minister Iceta has also committed himself to promoting the extension of this collaboration to the other ministries.
In addition, the Minister has been interested in the objectives of the organization, which, among others, promotes the visibility of public sector professionals, as well as equality in the access and exercise of positions of responsibility, direction and management of the public sector. The association currently brings together about three hundred women.
The minister’s Cabinet Director, Mar Román, also participated in the meeting. On the part of the association, its president, Concha Campos Acuña, and Virtudes Iglesias, a member of the Board of Directors of the association, have attended.
