- Since 2018, the assets of the senior officials appointed or dismissed the previous year are published within the first quarter
The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Function, within the commitment of the Government to transparency and in execution of the current regulations, proceeds to the publication today of the patrimonial data of the senior officials as every year since 2018 (it should be remembered that from 2014 and until the PSOE came to the Government this information was stopped from being published).
Article 13.4 of Royal Decree 1208/2018, of September 28, approving the Regulation that develops the Preliminary titles, II and III of Law 3/2015, of March 30, regulating the exercise of the high office of the General Administration of the State, provides that, during the first quarter of each calendar year, will proceed to publish in the "Official State Gazette" the declarations of assets, rights and patrimonial obligations of the high offices whose inauguration or cessation has occurred in the previous year.
Therefore, before the end of the quarter, the summaries of the declarations of assets of the senior officials of the General Administration of the State must be made public
They are not the extensive declarations of assets that fill in the high offices, but, as required by Law 3/2015, regulating the exercise of the high office of the General Administration of the State, only “a comprehensive statement of the patrimonial situation of the high offices is published, omitting those data referring to their location and safeguarding the privacy and security of their holders.”
Since only data of the takeovers and cessation that occurred during 2020 are published, the data of the new members of the Government and the rest of the senior positions that have taken office in 2021 will not appear.
