The Secretary of State for Territorial Cooperation and the Vice-President of the Canary Islands Government have chaired the meeting of the Joint Commission on Transfers Administration of the State-Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands

The Secretary of State for Territorial Cooperation has explained the agreements reached with the Canary Islands: 23.98 million to finance Public Health, to which 28.7 praa must be added to compensate for the insular event. To this amount of 52.8 million must be added 9.4 million for the increase in alcohol and tobacco taxes

Up to an additional 194 million euros in 2006 for the Canary Islands

To the above amounts, an additional EUR 132 million must be added via cash advances for the financial year 2006. In total, the Canary Islands can have an additional 194 million euros to improve Public Health
