The structure already extends along the northern part of the beach of Puerto Naos, behind the restaurant Las Olas, and flows into the ocean in a remote place of the population, in order to relieve the pressure of the gases that accumulate in the low areas. The Commissioner for the Reconstruction of La Palma, Héctor Izquierdo, indicated that the tests to depressurize the subsoil using new extraction techniques began in November and are part of the 'CO₂ Alert' project, funded by the State, with the collaboration of Involcan and local institutions.
