The meeting brought together more than 200 professionals from different fields of science who participated for five days in the activities related to the volcanic eruption. Eleven main topics were selected for the meeting, on which 64 talks were held and more than a hundred presentations in poster format. The activities took place at the Benahoarita Archaeological Museum.
Izquierdo has valued the commitment of science at the service of the citizens in crisis situations such as the volcanic and especially “the neighbors of Puerto Naos and La Bombilla who are an example of resilience and overcoming capacity who, in collaboration with the scientific community and all the public administrations united, contribute to recover our home”.
