Meeting of the Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma, Héctor Izquierdo with the Mayor of Santa Cruz de La Palma, Asier Antona, the first deputy mayor, Raico Arrocha, the Insular Director of the AGE in La Palma, Carlos García, in addition to representatives of the Civil Society of the palm capital, linked to the promotion and knowledge of the Bajada de la Virgen de las Nieves, to explain the experience that the Commissioner has about the process to be followed for inclusion in the indicative list of the Unesco, to be declared. The city is working on the administrative dossier that will raise the Bajada de La Virgen to the category of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of Unesco.
If it is possible to add the heritage of the Fiestas Lustrales, La Palma can become, in the island of the Canary Islands, with more recognition from Unesco, achieving the impact on the conservation of the territory or traditions and generating a cultural tourist attraction.
