CONSTRUCTION TUNNEL EL REMO-LA ZAMORA

The project of the tunnel between El Remo and La Zamora, awarded on June 21, has been completed.
When the public exhibition period ends (which is expected in April), obtaining the environmental assessment, the procedure to take out the tender for the work would begin in December, said the Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma, Héctor Izquierdo Triana.
The construction of this tunnel will facilitate the extension of the coastal route in the West of the Island and will allow the connection of this area with Fuencaliente.
The necessary funds were already allocated for this year through the road agreement, according to the Commissioner.
