As a result of the effort, support and collaboration, in the various meetings held to continue helping the island of La Palma, between the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, the Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma, Héctor Izquierdo Triana and others, a new Royal Decree will be carried out with expanded aid in the different areas of tourism and companies.
Amendment of Royal Decree 1112/2021, of 17 December, which approved the direct granting to the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands of a grant for the financing of actions in the field of tourism promotion and support to small and medium-sized enterprises on the island of La Palma. Grants: - The amount of the line of support for entrepreneurship and the creation of new companies is increased by 5 million euros. - The deadline for the execution of both the national promotional campaign and incentive with bonus and the Starmus festival is extended. - It is established that the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands can allocate up to 10 million euros of this line to create a line of aid aimed at compensating the losses incurred by SMEs and self-employed people on the island of La Palma.La subsidy responds to the economic interest of reactivating the competitiveness of the island of La Palma as a tourist destination, as well as the support that small and medium-sized enterprises based on this island continue to need.
