At the Council of Ministers on February 28, two agreements for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma were signed: Ministry of Labour and Social Economy and Ministry of Finance and Public Service, respectively:

• AGREEMENT authorizing the State Public Employment Service to grant a grant of 30,000,000 euros to the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for the development of a Comprehensive Employment Plan for the island of La Palma, for the implementation of employment and training measures to deal with the consequences of the volcanic eruption on the island, in accordance with the provisions of the eighty-sixth additional provision of Law 31/2022, of 23 December, on General State Budgets for the year 2023. The measures will be implemented through an agreement between the State Public Employment Service and the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands and the implementation period may be extended during the year 2024.

• AGREEMENT authorising the application of the Contingency Fund to finance credit modifications totalling EUR 63,404,668.53: to cover the damage caused by the volcanic eruption on the island of La Palma, amounting to EUR 16,400,000;
