In La Palma Smart Island (del Cabildo) took place a meeting on the study and survey of the fundamental issues for the recovery of the palm field, which have as common denominator the feasibility analysis for the reconstruction of the farms buried by the lava.

In this meeting, the participation and presentation of his proposals and evaluation of the possibility of the reconstruction of the partially buried farms and organization of the procedures with the administrations for their execution, the commissioner for the reconstruction of the island, Héctor Izquierdo; the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Cabildo de La Palma, Manuel González; the Water Councilor of the Insular Administration, Carlos Cabrera; among others. The company of Agricultural Technologies and Services SA (Tragsatec), in charge of the replacement, marking and lines of action to be followed for the reconstruction of the area of banana plantations affected by the lava.

The plan includes:

The delimitation and characterization of the affected surfaces, Identification of the degree and type of affectation, Global feasibility analysis of the replacement in the area damaged by the castings. With the realization of a map of the affected area, land for new banana crops, a legal-administrative study for the management of the affected plots and lands.
