The Canary Islands rewards the volunteer who acted in the volcanic eruption of La Palma
The XXII State Congress of Volunteering awards the Extraordinary State Prize of Volunteering 2022 collectively to all volunteer personnel who have acted in La Palma
"Our islands have always been characterized by the presence of a very wide network of associations and volunteers, who have brought out the best of themselves in the face of very complicated and difficult situations such as those experienced in recent years with the pandemic, the volcano of La Palma and migrations," said today the Councilor for Social Rights, Equality, Diversity and Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands, Noemí Santana, at the beginning of the XXII State Congress of Volunteering that was inaugurated today in the Adam Martin Auditorium of Santa Cruz de Tenerife."
The Congress, which has the slogan 'Volunteering as a motor of transformative resilience', has the participation of more than 400 representatives of volunteering entities, volunteers, different administrations as well as universities, companies and agents related to volunteering who will attend face-to-face.
