In the closing ceremony of the event 'Day of Remembrance and Tribute to all the victims of the military coup, the War and the Dictatorship 2025', held in the National Music Auditorium, in Madrid, the head of the Executive stressed that the Government of progressive coalition assumes this commitment along with two other "tasks": the acceleration of the procedure to judicially urge the dissolution of the Francisco Franco Foundation and the approval in the Council of Ministers, before the end of November, of the Royal Decree that regulates the Catalogue of Symbols and Elements contrary to the Democratic Memory, "to be withdrawn all times. Without excuses and without delays, for common sense, because no democracy, let alone ours, honors coup plotters," he concluded.
Almost 170 descendants of members of the International Brigades will receive Spanish nationality

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has announced that the next Council of Ministers will grant Spanish nationality to the almost 170 descendants of members of the International Brigades who have requested it in accordance with the provisions of the Democratic Memory Act of 2022.
