Ángel Víctor Torres: "It is essential to preserve, maintain and defend freedom and democracy so that it is never lost again"

Presentation of the VII edition of the International Film Festival for Democratic Memory at the Film Academy with the award of the Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory to the singer Rozalén of the award that recognizes her commitment to Memory.

The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, highlighted in the presentation of the VII Film Festival for Democratic Memory, that "the Government of Spain will continue to support it, because it is fundamental to preserve, maintain and defend what it took us so much to recover and on what we have to work so that it is not lost, as is freedom and democracy."

Ángel Víctor Torres has also presented the Lola González Ruiz Award to the singer Rozalén, to whom he recognized her artistic and human sensitivity and her commitment to freedom.

The minister has been accompanied at the event by the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory, Fernando Martínez López, the president of the Film Academy, Fernando Méndez-Leite, the director of the Festival, Carlos Olalla, and president of the Art and Memory Association, Amparo Climent.
