Gardens of New Ministries, Madrid
The program prepared by the Government includes acts of tribute to the exiles in places with special symbology for the democratic memory of Spain, the participation of representatives of the Spanish exile and of national and international organizations that have helped the Spanish exile or work to keep alive the memory of the people who had to leave Spain after the Civil War. In addition, cultural events have been prepared in which a sample of the artistic production of exiled people will be offered.

Wednesday, May 5.
Act in tribute and memory of the Spanish victims of Nazism.
The First Vice-President of the Government and Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Carmen Calvo, today presided over this event that was held at the Memorial in tribute to the Spanish and Spanish deported and deceased in Mauthausen and in other concentration camps and to all the victims of Nazism, raised in the gardens of New Ministries of Madrid.
The tribute began with the reading, by the journalist and writer Rosa Montero, of the Oath of Mauthausen.
After reading this text, Carmen Calvo and the vice-president of Amical de Mauthausen, Concha Díaz, made a floral offering that was preceded by interventions by both.
The act was closed with the interpretation of The Swamp Soldiers by the violinist Rocío Cabello.
Friday, May 7.
Presentation of the anthology Memory of Oblivion. Poets of the Spanish Republican Exile of 1939.
In this event, which will take place at the Cervantes Institute, the book Memory of Oblivion is presented. Poets of the Spanish Republican Exile of 1939, by José Ramón López García.
This work is an institutional edition of the Cervantes Institute and the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory in collaboration with Visor Libros. The event will be attended by Luis García Montero, director of the Cervantes Institute, who will be welcoming, and the author of the work, José Ramón López García, who will talk about the Anthology and how the selection of poems was carried out.
The actors Manuela Velasco and Pedro Casablanc will recite poems collected in the edition that will highlight the wound that was the Republican exile for many poets.
Fernando Martínez, Secretary of State for Democratic Memory, will close the event.
Presentation of the show Exile by Alex Brendemhl and Nora Buschmann.
After the presentation of the Anthology, this show will be performed, which fuses music, literature and audiovisual projections around the idea of exile.
The actor Alex Brendem⦅⦆ hl will recite the selected texts of various authors and authors who suffered, manifestly or not, exile in their lives such as Antonio Machado, Jose Agustín Goytisolo, Angelina Muñiz-Huberman, Rafael Alberti, Blas de Otero, José Hierro, Salvador Espriu or León Felipe, among others. The musical interpretation is carried out by the classical guitarist Nora Buschmann, who has made a selection of contemporary authors to the historical moment, whose compositions were created for Spanish guitar, including some song. Among these authors are Ricardo Cianferoni, Manuel de Falla, Miquel Llobet, Federico García Lorca, Joaquín Rodrigo and Isaac Álbeniz.
Images of Josep Bartolí, Louis Llech, Josep Narro, Manuel Moros and Samuel Nacar will also be shown.
Saturday, May 8.
Tribute to the Spanish exiles who fought for the liberation of Europe.
Organized by the Association of Descendants of Spanish Exile, with the collaboration of the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory, this event will take place in the cemetery of Fuencarral in Madrid and will take place on the Day of Victory of Europe, commemorating the victory of the allies in the Second World War after the surrender of the Nazi regime.
The tribute will be addressed by Pilar Nova Melle, president of the Association of Descendants of Spanish Exile, and Julián García Vargas, son of exile and promoter of the monument The Poetry of Exile. The event will be closed by the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory, Fernando Martínez.
Once the interventions are finished, the attendees will go to the plates in memory of the international brigadistas where they will deposit carnations.

Also on May 8, Carmen Calvo will preside over the event in memory and tribute to the Spanish exile that will be held at the Casa de América in Madrid.
This event includes musical auditions, by the group Ensemble María de Pablos, and readings of texts by authors and authors of the exile, as well as interventions by people who have suffered exile or who, through the organizations they represent, have helped the Spanish exile or work to keep alive the memory of those who had to leave Spain after the Civil War.
Nicolas Sánchez Albornoz, historian; Veronique Salou, president of the Association of August 24; Henri Ferrany, president of the Amical of former Spanish guerrillas in France; Ernesto Casanova, president of the Spanish Athenaeum in Mexico; and Pilar Nova, president of the Association of Descendants of Exile will take the floor. In addition, a video will be screened with a message from Cuactemoc Cárdenas, son of Lázaro Cárdenas and president of the official commission created by the Mexican government on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Spanish exile.
The event will be closed with the intervention of the first vice-president, Carmen Calvo.
