Virtual Library of Historical Press: Clandestine Press
It has among its funds a valuable collection of clandestine press, almost 90,000 pages digitized by the General Directorate of Books, Archives and Libraries of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, through an agreement with the Foundation of Marxist Researchers, which manages the hemerographic archive of the Communist Party of Spain.
These materials are an invaluable tool for the study of the political activities of clandestine groups that opposed Franco’s regime and, in particular, those of the Communist Party and the organizations that revolved around it.
The 244 headers that make up this collection correspond to the period between 1932 and 1976 and were published in Spain, Algeria, Colombia, France, Italy, Morocco, Mexico, Russia, Venezuela, Uruguay, etc.
