The Cervantes Institute in Paris hosts the exhibition "Utopia in exile: when art becomes history" in which different artists show the consequences of banishment for their protagonists and the generations that followed them.
The exhibition portrays, through five periods, the experience lived from 1931 to 1939, from the Second Republic, to the Spanish Civil War and, finally, the Republican exile, that exodus of almost half a million people that has marked the life of many children after what was called La Retiro, and in subsequent years until our days.
