"Helios' Suitcase" is a documentary about Helios Estévez, who was only months old when in 1936, at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, his father, an anarchist republican, left his town to go into exile. Now, 80 years later, he travels to his father’s house to bring the suitcase with which he arrived in Mexico in 1941. At the age of 19, Helios Estévez arrives in this country with a mission: to meet his father and reunite his family to end the pain of his mother, unable to endure the long absence of her husband. Through his testimonies we will get to know the dramatic beauty of his life until he becomes a successful man in Mexico and we will discover the exciting story of his father, unknown to this day in Spain.

Javier Angulo, founding journalist of the magazine Cinemania, has been running the International Film Week in Valladolid for 12 years, in 2009 he won the Best Documentary Award at the Havana Film Festival with "The Lost". "The Suitcase of Helios" is his second documentary.
