The National Police detains three people as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health and another of belonging to a criminal group, when selling narcotic substances in an establishment.
The investigation began when agents of the Local Judicial Police Brigade of Irun detected that drugs were being distributed to customers in a bar in this town. After the necessary investigations, they concluded that those responsible for this illicit activity were the person in charge of the establishment, leader of the criminal group, a waiter of the same, and another man who carried out the functions of "mail" carrying drugs at home, for which he used an electric scooter.
In addition, they knew that the drug that this criminal group traded with was cocaine and that to store and hide the largest quantities, they used an artisanal safety box made of stainless steel, whose opening was done with a key in order that no one who was not the waiter or the person in charge could take possession of this substance.
Likewise, thanks to the inquiries carried out by the researchers, they knew that they were hiding the doses already ready to be sold at different points in the store and that they had installed video recording cameras to protect this activity.
Therefore, on February 16, a security device was carried out in which, among other units, the Local Police of Irún and the Special Unit of Canine Guides of Bilbao participated, with a dog specialized in the search and location of drugs. Leaving with the apprehension of multiple doses of cocaine of half a gram and one gram hidden by the different rooms of the premises and with the finding of two other larger envelopes of this drug hidden in a handmade safe. Which made a total of 94.13 grams of cocaine.
In this sense, various useful and effects were also intervened for the storage, handling, weighing and preparation of doses, 465 euros in cash and the electric scooter used by one of those investigated for the transport of the drug outside the establishment.
