- Both centers resume their activity once the presence of the necessary personnel is assured for its correct functioning
- The government delegate, Denis Itxaso, declares his satisfaction to reestablish this service in the Alava regions of Ayala and Rioja Alavesa
The CAISS (Social Security Information and Care Centres) of the towns of Laguardia and Amurrio open their doors again for the attention of the citizens from this month of November.
These offices that resume their activity were closed since February 2020, just before the pandemic, due to a macro contest that gave the employees who attended these offices the option to look for destinations in other places and the lack of suitable substitutes. Once the necessary personnel have been found to cover the necessary places for its operation, both offices are reopened to provide service to the Alavesa regions of Ayala and Rioja Alavesa.
The government delegate, Denis Itxaso, regrets the distortions in daily life in the relationship between Social Security and citizens due to this temporary closure. “From the government delegation we feel the bureaucratic problems that the closure has caused during these months,” he says, while expressing his satisfaction with this reopening “which will improve the service to the inhabitants of Rioja Alavesa and Ayala. The efforts of the Ministry have been remarkable to find the necessary personnel and, once this problem is solved, the neighbors of these regions will be able to carry out their procedures in these offices again.”
In the Syrian centres on Sancho Abarca Street 16 in Laguardia and Landako 10 in Amurrio, as in the other Social Security offices, citizen attention and information is provided from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and only by appointment, which can be obtained through the Social Security electronic office.
