The National Police has arrested two people as alleged perpetrators of crimes against the rights of foreign citizens and falsehood, by fraudulently hiring four women who were being prostituted to obtain a residence permit in Spain.
The investigations began in May last year, when the researchers of the Operative Group of Foreigners (GOE II) of San Sebastián carried out a preventive control against trafficking in human beings in a flat in Irun where, through websites, sexual services were offered with Oriental women.
In the initial inspection, the agents noticed certain indications that the girls in it could be being sexually exploited, presenting a great deal of resistance to the police presence and a total lack of knowledge of our language, so, to confirm these suspicions, they carried out four more inspections: two in August and December 2022 and two in May this year.
After these five inspections and the necessary investigations, the investigators concluded that two exploiters, a Chinese citizen who acted as a madame controlling the women from the floor and managing the telephone to which the customers called, and a French citizen residing in Hendaye, were coactively prostituting women of Chinese origin, so that, during the month of July, they proceeded to arrest them and make them available to the courts.
In parallel with these arrests, the agents analyzed the way of regularizing the victims, discovering that four of them had obtained residence permits for exceptional circumstances, citing reasons of rootedness thanks to labor contracts signed with two Chinese citizens or with limited societies in which these same citizens were solidarity administrators.
After focusing on this new branch of the investigation, they also analyzed the immigration files of the different Delegations and Subdelegations of the Government where these residence permits had been requested. It was found that none of the girls had performed work for which they had been hired and that during the dates of the contracts they were being sexually exploited on several floors in Gipuzkoa.
For all these reasons, on 5 October, these two businessmen, a Chinese woman and a Chinese man, were arrested and placed at the disposal of the Court of Custody.
