The National Police arrested at the beginning of this month, in Bizkaia, six people accused of alleged crimes of robbery with force, theft and belonging to a criminal group.
The investigation was initiated as a result of four complaints filed in April, three in the Provincial Police Station of Burgos and a fourth in the Soria Police Station.
In the first case, the victim explained that the events occurred at an early hour in the morning, when his daughter surprised a young man on the upper floor of the house who, after being discovered, fled downstairs after leaving through the front door taking cash.
In the second, the complainants reported that they had suffered a robbery on the upper floor of a hotel and catering establishment, where their home was located. This time, the facts were produced by five young people who, previously, entered the premises and asked for a drink. While three went out to the terrace, two of them, pretending to go to the service, accessed the house. When the owner heard noises on the top floor, she introduced herself and surprised them “in fraganti”. At that time, they excused themselves by saying that they had been confused looking for the bathrooms and left, but taking money and jewelry that the owners had in their house.
The third of the complaints filed in Burgos occurred as a result of a forceful robbery at a telephone store where the detainees stole money and mobile terminals worth 9,000 euros.
The last of the alleged incidents took place in a supermarket in Soria. In it, the criminal group committed a theft of 1,500 euros in the office where the collection and change was guarded.
After the appropriate investigations, the agents determined that the perpetrators of these crimes were the members of the same criminal group settled in Bizkaia, so that the close collaboration and cooperation between the Judicial Police Brigades of Burgos, Soria and Bizkaia allowed their rapid location and detention.
Finally, all of them were placed at the disposal of the examining magistrate's court in Bilbao, and they were currently at liberty pending the corresponding trial.
It should be noted that among the detainees, four men and two women, add up to more than 157 records for various criminal acts, mainly property offences.
