- · This action in the Basque Country, which is in addition to four others in localities of Catalonia, Extremadura and Galicia, promotes in total the construction of 634 homes on public lands within the framework of the Affordable Rental Housing Plan.
- · The public land entity has thus incorporated five new residential land to develop affordable housing, which are in stressed areas, of demographic challenge and together with relevant business projects.
- · With these soils, SEPES contributes to promote 15,957 affordable public housing within the framework of the Affordable Rental Housing Plan (PVAA) through 15 actions.
The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma), through the State Land Entity (SEPES), has signed a protocol for the construction of 392 new homes on public land in Basauri, in the province of Bizkaia, within the framework of the Affordable Rental Housing Plan (PVAA).
This action is in addition to another that will be developed in the municipality of Batea (Tarragona), where the construction of 20 houses is planned; another in Sarriá de Ter (Girona), with 90 houses; another in Navalmoral de la Mata (Cáceres), with 120 houses; and another in Pedrafita do Cebreiro (Lugo), with the forecast of building 12 houses.
In total, the construction of 634 homes on public land located in localities of Catalonia, Extremadura, Galicia and the Basque Country is promoted, within the framework of the Affordable Rental Housing Plan, through these five new actions.
After the signing of these five new projects, SEPES has already added 15 residential projects that will promote 15,957 affordable public housing, which will be located in areas stressed by rental prices, in areas affected by depopulation and population loss, and in places with synergies between business and housing.
To carry out these five actions, SEPES has signed collaboration protocols with the Junta de Extremadura and the City of Navalmoral de la Mata, and with the City of Pedrafita do Cebreiro in Lugo. In Catalonia, a protocol has been formalized in Tarragona, with the City of Batea, and another in Girona, with the City of Sarriá de Ter.
To these, the agreement between SEPES and the City of Basauri is joined, which will allow to promote the development of the lands of La Basconia.
The objective is to recover disused or obsolete public lands to develop housing and urban planning policies.
Mitma-SEPES Agreement
Last October, Mitma and SEPES signed an agreement that establishes the collaboration framework for the execution of a part of the Affordable Rental Housing Plan.
With the signing of this agreement, 10 residential actions were activated located in Malaga, Seville, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, Madrid, Valencia, Ceuta and Melilla.
