The National Police in Bilbao proceeded, on March 23, to arrest a man as an alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual assault.
The investigation began when a young Soriana claimed the assistance of a vehicle labeled "Z" that patrolled the streets of that capital to explain to them that, moments before, she had been raped by a man she had met at night in the leisure area. Immediately, the agents activated the protocol of this type of crime and transferred it to the hospital, where it was examined by specialists in forensic medicine and then filed a complaint with the Family and Women Care Unit (UFAM) of the Provincial Police Station of Soria.
In this sense, the description and indications of the victim made it easier for the investigators to identify the author, locating him in the province of Bizkaia.
Faced with this, the investigation was taken over by agents of the Judicial Police Brigade of Bilbao, who, after multiple surveillance in the neighborhood of Otxarkoaga, an area where they suspected this man could reside, located him and proceeded to his immediate arrest.
The detainee turned out to be a neighbor of that neighborhood, with a history of gender-based violence and injuries, which after being transferred to the Superior Police Headquarters in Bilbao was made available to the judiciary.
