The Ministry of Industry and Tourism has provisionally awarded 2 million euros to the Navarre company Aceitos Ur⦅⦆, based in Tudela, within the second call of the PERTE Agroalimentary. In the country as a whole, 34 new grants worth almost 25 million euros have been awarded in grants, with actions in 10 autonomous communities. With these new awards, the second call for PERTE Agro would be closed.
The projects range from the implementation of sustainable energy sources, to the modernization of production lines, to the renewal of efficiency in the manufacture of agri-food products. In particular, the Ur⦅⦆ project envisages the implementation of new, more sustainable energy sources for oil production.
The objective of this PERTE is to strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of the agri-food sector in Spain, favoring quality employment and the territorial roots of companies thinking, especially, of SMEs.
The first call for applications from PERTE Agro awarded 182 million euros to 286 projects, which correspond to 224 companies. With the new awards, the second call of PERTE Agro has awarded 97.88 million euros to 138 projects.
