The Government Delegation in Navarre condemns the new murders for gender violence confirmed by the Ministry of Equality in the provinces of Alicante, Toledo, Seville and Barcelona. In the case of Alicante, the victim is a 29-year-old woman who was allegedly killed by her partner on December 2. There were no previous complaints of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor.
The victim from Toledo is a 39-year-old woman, allegedly killed by her partner on December 3. There were also no previous reports of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor. The victim had three minor children.
As for the victim from Seville, she is a 30-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered by her partner on December 6. There were no previous complaints of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor. He also had three minor children.
Finally, the victim of the province of Barcelona is a 36-year-old woman, allegedly killed by her partner on December 9. She was the mother of three children, two of them minors, and all residing outside Spain. There were no previous complaints of gender-based violence.
With the confirmation of these cases, the number of women killed by gender violence amounts to 45 in 2025 and to 1,340 since 2003, when these data were first collected. In addition, orphaned minors are already 31 in 2025 and 500 since 2013.
The government delegate in Navarre, Alicia Echeverría, wishes to express her absolute condemnation and rejection of these machista murders and transfers all her support to the families and friends of the victims. It calls for all efforts from the institutions, administrations and the whole of society to arrive on time and avoid more deaths.
