The Government Delegation in Navarre condemns a new murder for gender violence in the province of Badajoz. This is a 34-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered by her partner, and whose body was located on August 4, 2025. There were previous complaints of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor. The victim had four minor daughters.
With the confirmation of this case, the number of women killed by gender violence amounts to 24 in 2025 and 1,318 since 2003, when these data were first collected. The number of children orphaned and orphaned by gender-based violence against their mothers is 16 in 2025 and 485 since 2013.
The government delegate in Navarre, Alicia Echeverría, wishes to express her absolute condemnation and rejection of this machista murder and transfers all her support to the victim’s family and friends. It calls for all efforts from the institutions, administrations and the whole of society to arrive on time and avoid more deaths.
