The Government of Spain allocates almost 400,000 euros to Navarre for the creation of Sectoral Data Spaces. This aid is part of the second call for Demonstrators and Cases of Use of Data Spaces of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service, through the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. It aims to create and support Sectoral Data Spaces.
Specifically, this is a budget of 394,976 euros for a project of the National Center for Technology and Food Safety (CNTA) aimed at the use of quality and food safety data for the advancement of the agri-food sector.
A highlight of this call is the remarkable territorial capillarity of the subsidized projects, which are present in the vast majority of the autonomous communities. This wide distribution ensures that the impetus and benefits of this aid extend significantly throughout the national territory, reflecting a commitment to territorial cohesion and the development of the different regions.
The initiatives, distributed by key sectors such as health, agri-food and sustainable mobility, seek to boost productivity, competitiveness and efficiency through the sharing of data between manufacturers, researchers and infrastructure providers. With these projects, strategic sectors will be able to extract value from data, empowering informed decision-making, technological innovation and resource optimization.
In particular, the second call for Demonstrators and Data Space Use Cases aims to finance the costs of data space promoters in strategic sectors of the economy. It offers two lines of financing:
· Demonstration centers: oriented to the creation of data space platforms to perform pilots and concept tests.
· Use cases: oriented to the actual application in exploitation of data sharing and processing technologies for the achievement of a business objective in the data space ecosystem
