The Foral Community will receive 2,288,680 euros from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism in the framework of the second call of the PERTE Agroalimentary. The final resolution includes 56 projects throughout Spain with a total grant of 34.5 million euros for a planned investment of 82.9 million euros.
In the case of Navarre, the following projects have been selected:
Iberfruit-Moriza SA (Azagra). 427,582 euros for the research project of ecodesign strategies applied to processed fruits and vegetables aimed at achieving the reduction of food waste from a comprehensive approach.
Viscofan España SLU (Cáseda). 400.936 euros for the technology of revaluation of cellulosic waste by bioconversion by solid fermentation.
Gumiel and Mendía SL (Lodosa). 241,476 euros for the installation of sustainable cold for cooling chambers and rooms through an indirect glycol system.
General Mills SLU (San Adrian):
- 201,753 euros for a new process of separation of Crunchy bars for the reduction of food waste.
- 891,201 euros for the elimination of fluorinated refrigerants by ammonia in a new cold-central cold generation system.
- 125,732 euros for energy efficiency for the creation of a centralized vacuum generation facility for production.
The objective of this PERTE, whose second call is endowed with 100 million euros, is to strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of the agri-food sector in Spain, promoting quality employment and the territorial roots of companies.
