Personnel from the public service offices of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) and the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS) have received appropriate training to act as Violeta Points. Training that includes specific issues such as the types of violence against women; indicators of gender violence and sexual violence; state and foral resources available to victims; or the tools available to the Violeta Points.
The training has been given by the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Delegation in Navarre with the collaboration of the National Police and Civil Guard. The aim is for public service personnel to be able to provide, upon request, information on the various specialized resources available to victims of violence against women and on how to access these resources.
A “Violet Point” is an instrument promoted by the Ministry of Equality to involve the whole of society in the fight against gender violence and male violence. A sticker identifies these points as safe spaces for victims, where they can receive information and accompaniment if they need it. In turn, it includes a QR code linked to an informative guide.
In the Foral Community, the Government Delegation itself, the State Public Employment Service, the offices of the State Tax Administration Agency, the offices and points of the Youth Information Services Network of the Navarre Youth Institute, pharmacies and the Navarre association DYA are already part of this network.
In addition, numerous municipalities install information tents that provide information on the existing resources during their patron saint’s holidays.
