The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has granted a direct grant of 15 million euros to the Government of Navarre to improve on the N-121-A road.
The objective of the funds is to finance the actions that the Government of Navarre is undertaking to convert the road into a 2+1 lane road. This action will significantly improve the level of service and road safety, thanks to the separation between senses, thus avoiding the need to invade the opposite lane to carry out overtaking which, in addition, has a lower environmental impact compared to other possible capacity-building solutions.
The amount of 15 million euros of this grant granted from the General State Budgets of the year 2023 is added to the 10 million transferred in December 2018; the 15 million transferred in December 2021; and another 15 million euros transferred in December 2022, for other actions to improve this road, which allows the union with France, which adds a total contribution of this Ministry of 55 million euros to date.
