The General Secretariat of Industry and SME, through the EOI Foundation, opens the application period for the call for grants related to the “Activa Startups” program in the Autonomous Community of Navarre, offering consortiums composed of Navarre SMEs and startups up to 40,000 euros to carry out innovation projects through the “Activa Startups” initiative, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The grants for this call are aimed at consortiums formed by an SME whose activity refers to any sector and with tax domicile in the Autonomous Community of Navarre and by a Startup, which will develop an open innovation project with advice on digital transformation, development and incorporation of emerging technologies, transformation towards a low-carbon economy or incorporation of the circular economy in the business model. The aid, in the form of a subsidy, will enable companies to meet the costs arising from the innovation process. In particular, the maximum amount established by each beneficiary consortium or group is 40.000€.
“Activa Startups”, belonging to the “Activa” family of programs, is an initiative of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism in the development of its National Strategy of Connected Industry 4.0 which has among its objectives the impulse of the digital transformation of the Spanish industry increasing its growth potential and developing in turn the local offer of digital solutions.
The EOI Foundation, attached to the General Secretariat for Industry and SMEs, is in charge of managing the investment planned for the “Activa Startups” calls, which amounts to 44 million euros from the fund of the Recovery and Resilience mechanism and have a goal of supporting 900 SMEs before the end of 2023. In particular, the investment planned for this call amounts to 720,000 euros and aims to support 18 projects that will be developed in the Foral Community of Navarre.
Applications can be submitted through the electronic headquarters of the EOI Foundation and the deadline for applying for aid will remain open for one month from the publication of the call in the BOE.
This call for aid is part of the SME Growth Capabilities Programme under Component 13 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which has an overall allocation of EUR 101 million until December 2023. This initiative is also part of “Spain Entrepreneurial Nation”, the long-term vision promoted by the Government to turn Spain into a reference country in innovative entrepreneurship in 2030.
