The Sectoral Conference on Agriculture and Rural Development has agreed to allocate 1,577,316.70 euros to Navarre to finance restructuring and conversion programmes for vineyards. Throughout Spain, funds worth 117.23 million euros have been distributed.
They are funds for the financial year 2024. In the case of biannual operations, the committed budget for 2025 has been distributed. The aim is to improve the competitiveness of the Spanish wine sector.
By 2024, 15% more has been allocated than the financial statement for the restructuring and conversion of vineyards, bringing the total amount to be distributed to EUR 81.24 million. In this way, it is a question of maximizing the possibilities of execution of the total financial statement of the wine sector intervention to meet the financial needs reported by the autonomous communities, and subsequently reassigning, if necessary, those funds that are not used by some community for the benefit of those that have additional needs.
On the other hand, the Government and the autonomous communities have agreed to carry out technical adjustments, related to rural development interventions, to facilitate the implementation of the strategic plan of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
